New ceremonies open to city residents

Ceremonies to mark the renewal of vows and baby naming will be hosted by Aberdeen City Council from 1 April.

Councillors yesterday (15 March) agreed to the introduction of the new services by the registrars.

The decision is designed to meet demand for the additional ceremonies, with initial enquiries already received.

The services will be available at Marischal College, from Monday to Saturday, and outwith registration offices at agreed locations seven days a week.

Further information is available by calling 01224 522616 or by email at registrars@aberdeencity.gov.uk.
