Local government election briefing for prospective candidates and agents

A briefing event for prospective candidates and agents considering standing for election to Aberdeen City Council will be held on Wednesday 8 March 2017.

The session will take place at 3pm in the Council Chamber at the Town House and will cover arrangements for the election in May.

Information on voter registration, postal voting, polling day and the count will all be covered.

This newly updated section of the site sets out everything interested individuals need to know including what a councillor’s role is, what skills are desirable and what support is available to elected members.
