Applications sought from budding football stars for Hazlehead Academy's SFA JD Performance School

Applications for the 2019 intake of Scottish FA JD Performance School pupils are now open.

We are pleased to announce the application process for the Hazlehead Performance School programme for 2019. This is a four year programme that is aimed at players who have the potential to play at the highest level. Applicants must currently be in Primary 7 moving in to S1 in August 2019, and must be eligible to play for Scotland.

Councillor John Wheeler, Education Operational Delivery Convener, said: “We are enormously proud of our partnership with the Scottish Football Association at Hazlehead Academy, one of only seven performance schools in Scotland. We have already helped develop the talents of several young players to the extent that they have represented Scotland at youth level. Not only that, but Hazlehead Academy’s Dean Campbell also set an Aberdeen FC record as the youngest person ever to play for the Dons first team.

“Boys and girls attending the performance school are also guaranteed a first-class education at Hazlehead, with player-pupils achieving outstanding academic results off the field”.
