Application form now to be used for businesses applying for retail, hospitality & leisure, and aviation relief

Businesses applying for Retail, Hospitality & Leisure Relief and Aviation Relief should be aware while the Scottish Government schemes are continuing for 2021/22 with no changes to eligibility, there is a different process for applying.

The Scottish Government has introduced an application form for the grants, and the application form and more information are available at

https://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/services/business-and-licensing/pay-business-rates/non-domestic-business-rates-retail-hospitality-leisure-relief. The form should be completed and returned by email to businessrates@aberdeencity.gov.uk.

An application should only be made if you do not qualify for 100% relief under another category such as Small Business Rates Relief or Charitable Rates Relief.

For individuals or firms which usually receive Small Business Rates Relief and this is not showing on your business rates bill for 2021/22, you will need to make a new application. The application form can be found at https://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/services/business-and-licensing/pay-business-rates/small-business-bonus, and completed forms should be returned by email to businessrates@aberdeencity.gov.uk.
