Aberdeen City Music School tunes up for annual concert

Aberdeen’s young orchestra students are making their final preparations for their free annual concert.

The Aberdeen City Music School will be performing a wide selection of music at The Beach Ballroom at 3pm on Sunday 4 March.

Sonia Scaife, Director of the Music School, said, “The pupils have been working hard to showcase the talent of Aberdeen’s specialist music school based at Dyce Academy. The programme will be diverse, with genres from classical to traditional, vocal and instrumental.”

Education and Children Services Convenor, Councillor John Wheeler, said, “The Music School’s annual concert is one of the highlights of Aberdeen’s musical calendar.

“This year’s event promises to maintain the excellent standards that audiences have come to enjoy over the years and I’m sure the eclectic mix of genres will ensure that there is something for everyone.”
